Blip is Jan and Jace's pet monkey, and a sidekick to them and to Space Ghost.
Physical Appearance[]
He wears a light blue and yellow suit with a black domino mask. Blip uses a jetpack to fly and a belt that gives him the power to turn invisible.
In the Dynamite comic, Blip is a Capuchin monkey. He wears a device to communicate with everyone.
Biography[]
On many occasions, he saved the team due to enemies tending to ignore him. He communicates through squeaks. There are a few occasions in where he did briefly speak such as the 1967 Whitman coloring book and Space Ghost #7 (November 2024) published by Dynamite Entertainment. Press kits for the series stated Blip was not an Earth monkey though this isn't indicated in the final product. However later incarnations do established him as being from outer space.
Blip makes a few appearances in Space Ghost Coast to Coast where he is often mistreated by Space Ghost. This was to the point that Blip decided to sue Space Ghost for animal cruelty in the season five episode Lawsuit. He also appeared in the original incarnation of Cartoon Planet. In the Space Ghost Coast to Coast comics, it is shown his father Blip Sr. was Space Ghost's original sidekick.
Blip appears in a Cartoon Network station ID shown before Cartoon Theatre, which parodies the monolith scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Blip made a cameo appearance in The Brak Show episode "Runaway" via stock footage.
Blip had a cameo appearance in the Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law episode Evolutionary War. He is the only Space Ghost character to appear in Harvey Birdman.
Blip appears in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold episode Bold Beginnings.
In the Dynamite comic, Blip is a genetically enhanced monkey whose name is an abbreviation of Binary Language Integrated Prototype, a neural implant that could be a great benefit for medicine and science. His neural implant is targeted by a lot of people as a result.
